Telecommunications Projects

100 Rack Data Centre constructed within an existing exchange building;

  • 10 kW per rack average IT power.
  • Project included new generators, new UPS, new chillers, new chilled water distribution, and seismic bracing within an existing operational core exchange.

HVDC deployment into existing exchanges;

  • HVDC using 220 Volt DC primary batteries were located in lower levels of two multistory exchange buildings.
  • HVDC power supported new generation exchange equipment as existing 48 Volt DC systems were unable to be expanded to meet these additional loads.
  • The HVDC systems provided A and B power supplies to new equipment when existing 48 Volt DC plant was single plane.
  • The HVDC solution survived the Christchurch earthquake with no downtime.

Edge Connect Data Centres

  • New Portal Series Edge Data Centres.
    • 6 rack core building blocks.
